Judy's stuffed mushrooms

You know if I'm posting one of my mom's recipe's, it's going to be good. My mom has collected and created some gourmet recipe's throughout the years, and this is one of her best. You will need:
2-3 packages of large stuffer mushrooms

1/4 cup minced onion

1/2 cup finely grated bread crumbs
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

2-3 heaping tablespoons diced black olives

1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic or garlic powder

1 stick melted butter

sour cream (enough to make a dough)

Tie on your apron! Wash mushrooms and wipe off thoroughly. Pop out stems, and chop stems until finely minced. In a medium bowl, combine mushrooms stems, onion, bread crumbs, Parmesan, olives, and garlic. Add enough sour cream to make a consistent mixture. With a teaspoon, mound dough into each mushroom cap. Dip the bottom of your mushroom caps into melted butter, and place in a stoneware or casserole dish. Drizzle remaining butter over the mushrooms. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes, or until caps are soft. Serves 10-20.

*Chef's note: Many people put bacon or sausage in their stuffed mushrooms, but I think it just overpowers the flavor of the mushrooms. To get the full effect, make sure you turn on Christmas with Gisele MacKenzie while cooking this holiday treat. Happy eating!

Thanks for sharing this . . . I may try it sometime, but without the olives. ;O) Your mom sounds like she's an amazing cook!
