(500) Days of Summer trailer

Forget predictable blockbusters like Transformers or The Proposal, the movie I have been waiting to see this year is the indie romance (500) Days of Summer.

Starring the quirky and cute songbird Zooey Deschanel (Almost Famous) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (10 Things I Hate About You), this fresh film promises an original screenplay, and boasts a killer soundtrack (The Smiths, Hall & Oates, Regina Spektor, Feist, and Simon & Garfunkel to name a few). The only thing I love more than a good book is a good movie. So, for the month of June, Sweet Treats Book Club is off to the movies! We will be going to see My Sister's Keeper (our May book selection) on Tuesday, June 30th. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome (more details to come soon). Tonight is the 2nd part of Pride & Prejudice, which you absolutely cannot miss because it features the gorgeous Mr. Darcy in a wet t-shirt. After two more weeks of Pride & Prejudice, it's on to the light-hearted Emma (with the fabulous Kate Beckinsale), and my most anticipated: Sense & Sensibility.
