Miss Potter

My husband and I decided to take a break from the baby and have a grown-up date night for the first time in so many months. We were thinking to catch one of the big blockbuster movies that are so popular right now, but changed our minds at the last minute. Instead we decided to see "Miss Potter", a drama about the life of Beatrix Potter (who created the famous children's book character, Peter Rabbit).

It was absolutely wonderful!

It stars Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor as the writer and publisher who meet and eventually fall in love. Emily Watson plays McGregor's feminist sister, in a knock-out supporting role that almost steals the show. The acting was excellent, the locations superb (*sigh* how I miss merry old England *sigh*) and the plot was funny, touching and poignant. Want to know the best part? No language, sex or violence; and the story just happens to be true! A definite must-see film!

I was wondering about this movie....so true about there being so many box office hits out....but often they are a let down. So I am excited to see this. TATA Leah

I'm looking forward to seeing this. . . I have to ask though, what did Mike think of it? (Basically, can I get Nate to watch this with me, or is this one of those personal indulgences that I'll have to fit in while he's asleep?)
