Cupcake Chowder presents:
3rd annual best-dressed at the Oscars!
Our best-dressed winner belongs to the gorgeous Penelope Cruz. Penelope was on my best-dressed list last year, and never fails to disappoint. I love the rich burgundy color of her Donna Karan Cotoure, which really popped on the Oscar stage.
1st runner-up goes to one of my favorite actresses, Kate Winslet. Kate is usually on my best dressed lists as well. She always looks simple yet elegant, especially in this Yves St. Laurent number with matching silver clutch.
2nd runner-up is the fabulous Queen Latifah. She totally rocked this soft lilac Badgley Mischka gown with jewel encrusted straps. Seriously, when she walked out onto the Oscar stage my jaw dropped. Gorgeous!Cameron Diaz is our Miss Congeniality winner. Cameron has disappointed me so many times on the red carpet, but this year I was thrilled to see her finally get it right. I love her total look - from her hair to her champagne beaded Oscar de la Renta.Honorable mention goes to first-time Oscar winner Sandra Bullock. I have to admit, I am not a fan of the hair and red lipstick, but this Marchesa dress is absolute gorgeous! It was her night, and I have to give her props for her beautiful Oscar fashion.Who was your favorite red carpet diva?

OH I loved Jennifer Lopez' gown. I loved how it accentuated her curves & she's been one to disappoint on the red carpet. I also really loved Sarah Jessica Parker's dress. She wore Chanel's Spring Couture line & she looked so good!
I loved Jennifer Lopez and Demi Moore!
My favorites were Sandra Bullock and Vera Farmiga (I'm a sucker for bright color and texture!) as well as Kristen Stewart and Ben Stiller's Avatar bit.
Well, I completely agree with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. I think Penelope Cruz's dress is very beautiful, but it looks in the picutre a little too close to the color of the red carpet. I throw cation to matching the red carpet or else then it can become the floating head and arms syndrome! Beautiful choices non the less! Have a glorious day! -Suzanne
My 3 favorites were Sandra Bullock, Demi Moore and Cameron Diaz. They were gorgeous!
OOH! I love your choices.. except for Weaver.. I'm not too keen with her in red. I'm not sure why.. but ya. I thought Anna Kendrick and Kristen Stewart looked great too!
Now I want to see Jennifer Lopez..
Sadly, I missed the awards. I was so sick on Sunday that I stayed in bed the whole day and pretty much slept-not paying attention to anything on tv. Although I did see Queen Latifah in her pink gown and LOVED it. She looked so beautiful. She represented the fuller figure woman extremely well! I'll have to look up all the other ones when I get a minute
So I'm doing something I have NEVER done before. I have changed my mind about an Oscar look. I decided to replace Sigourney Weaver with Sandra Bullock. The more I looked at the dress, the less I liked it, so I am going to go with Sandra Bullock's Marchesa gown on this one. Besides, I know a lot of you liked it as well! Cheers!
Megan, I LOVED watching the Oscars with you. Your oscar parties are the bees knees. And I'm so glad that Penelope Cruz's dress won. As you know it was my fav too. But had a couple girls got the right color of dress my decision could have possibly been different...maybe.
Gotta watch the double negatives dearie -- "never fails to disappoint" isn't what you meant to say there.
I loved Demi Moore's dress. I loved Sandra Bullock too. They were all looking really hot weren't they, however.
