I always hesitate to post my favorite movies of the year, as there are many I have still not seen from 2009. Some of those films include: The Hurt Locker, Bright Star, and Up in the Air (to name a few). However, this is a list of my most favorite movies from 2009 as of today! I'm glad you loved Star Trek so much. I didn't think Avatar would be so low...
The Blindside would be in my top five. That movie made me feel like I wanted to save the world when I walked out of the theatre. A good-good movie.

The only reason Avatar is so low on your list is that you FAILED to see it in 3-D. That is a MUST for this movie. Also, where is District 9? Have you not seen that yet?!?
Trek is a great choice for the number 1 spot, but I'm putting Avatar up there one notch ahead of it.
