Vintage Disney Women

This week I'm traveling with my mom and sisters to the "Happiest Place on Earth" - Disneyland. To get into the spirit of things I thought it might be fun to post pictures of the rarely seen faces behind the vintage Disney female voices. Here they are in chronological order. Happy viewing!

Adriana Caselotti as Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, 1937.
Evelyn Venable as the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, 1940.
Ilene Woods as Cinderella from Cinderella, 1950.Kathryn Beaumont as Alice from Alice in Wonderland, 1951.Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy Darling from Peter Pan, 1953.
Mary Costa as Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, 1959.

Which one is your favorite?

My favorite show? Or perhaps which one looks most like the character? I can't believe how much they look like them. I love Cinderella. Then Sleeping Beauty would be next. I love disney in general, wish I was coming too.

I've always been partial to the story of Sleeping Beauty. But that might have something to do with the fact that it was the first movie I saw as a little girl. I must have been under 2 years, and I don't remember it, but those sorts of experiences are often what shape our preferences. My second favourite is Cinderella. She's a very close second, too :-)
