The title of best-dressed goes to the lovely Kate Beckinsale. Although she wasn't nominated, Kate completely stole the spotlight in this white gown by J. Mendel.
1st runner-up goes to best actress nominee Anne Hathaway. I loved the color of her Armani Prive creation, along with her classic hair and earrings.
It was undoubtedly Kate Winslet's night, as she won in two categories, and our spot as 2nd runner-up on the best dressed list. Her simple, yet elegant black dress was made by Yves St. Laurent.
The Miss Congeniality award goes to Golden Globe winner Laura Linney. I loved the one-shoulder yellow dress with crystal belt, and I am so thrilled she won for her portrayal of Mrs. John Adams.
Honorable mention goes to nominee Kyra Sedgwick, who came close to making our list (as well as Ms. Tina Fey for her brilliantly funny acceptance speech).

I didn't see the Golden Globes, so I'm glad you posted these.. I wanted to try to find out if Brad Pitt won anything..
Isn't that sad that I would watch it just to see him and the Mrs??

If I remember correctly, he did not win anything, but he looked good trying. Angie on the other hand would probably be on my worst dressed list. Sad, but true.
My favorites were Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway, Kate Beckinsale, Sandra Bullock, and America Ferrera. They looked beautiful!
I thought there was a lot of variety in the dresses this year, which made it fun. And I have to say, I found Renee Zellweger's entire look and Drew Barrymore's hair surprising! I was also surprised at the less formal looks of Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz . They are usually 2 of my favorites and I hope they glam it up a bit for the Oscars!
My favorite designer of the night was Oscar de la Renta. I loved Kyra Sedgwicks and America Ferrera's dresses. And although I wouldn't wear it myself, and it somewhat reminds me of a bad bridesmaid dress....I thought Cameron Diaz in a Chanel Haute Couture pink dress looked radiant.
Worst? Blake Lively - her dress was too tight and made her look 30 pounds heavier than she is.
Oh yah...and Perez Hilton...you can suck it too....I love Tina Fey....
Kate Beckinsale was definitely my favorite with Christina Applegate a close second. Some others that I thought looked great were Beyonce and Eva Longoria. Least favorites were Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. Drew looked TERRIBLE. What was up with her hair???
I only saw a few minutes of the Golden Globes, but from looking online, my favorites are Kate Winslet, Kate Beckinsale, Hayden Panettiere (LOVE the color), and Anna Paquin. Okay, and Eva Mendes.

I must agree that Kate Beckinsale looked stunning in that gown and that I loved everything about that dress BUT she wasnt my number 1. Maybe my number three...I had a few out there that I loved that you didnt mention but every one that you did mention I loved as well...So I guess what I'm saying is I totally agree about the dresses just in a different order form.
Alas, I must comment on poor Renee...though I didnt think her dress was the worst out there but I am kinda wondering what was she thinking????
My favorite (of your pictures) is Anne's. A second runner-up would be Kyra's. Didn't like Kate B's (too Morticia Addams). I didn't see the show but always love your reviews.
