Favorite Things: Summer Edition

No little cupcake should be without the household bible: Martha Stewart Living. I wait patiently by the mailbox every month for my subscription to arrive, and even though I don't use every single idea or tip, I still find plenty of inspiration for decorating, cooking and homemaking. With easy to follow recipes, and beautiful color photographs, you can't go wrong with this wonderfully domestic magazine.

Cosmos are some of my favorite summer flowers. Part of the daisy family, Cosmos can grow quite large, and will bloom throughout most of the summer (especially if you deadhead). Cosmos come in various shades of pink and white, and although they are an annual, they spread enough seeds around my yard that I always get new starts every year.

Raspberry Lemonade home spray by Greenleaf. My sister-in-law bought this spray the last time we were up at Gardner Village, and I absolutely love it. It is tart and sweet, and not too overpowering. You can also purchase it as an oil, sachet, potpourri, or candle. Go to www.greenleafgifts.com to see the entire collection. Ah, the smells of summertime!

I don't know what I would do without my Quesadilla Maker! Easy to clean and easy to use, it continuously stays at the same temperature so you don't burn your tortillas. I've found that uncooked tortillas work the best, and I love a cheesy quesadilla or breakfast burrito any time of day. The Quesadilla Maker keeps the outside crisp and the inside warm and gooey, and also cuts your quesadilla into sections for you. (We found ours at Target for around $20). Best of all, the kiddies love it. Bon appetit!

I love your summer favorites! I have to admit, that I have not noticed Cosmos before, and the are very beautiful! I will add them to the list for next year. Also, I have other magazine subscriptions, but never had living. I may have to get it too! Thanks for the Favorites! :)

I use to LOVE Martha Stewart Living when it was a TV show. Back in the late 90's. I sneak home Better Garden and Homes from work, and just stare at it for hours! -Suzanne
